ISRIC develops and maintains global soil information services that are widely used by scientists around the world, to improve modelling efforts and deepen the understanding of soil’s role in the Earth system.
In addition to its global datasets, ISRIC produces tailored soil information products to support specific applications such as soil fertility management and land suitability assessments. These products are developed in close collaboration with users, including national agricultural research organisations, international development organisations, and agri-businesses to ensure relevance and impact.
Through partnerships with nationally mandated institutes, ISRIC also co-develops national soil information systems as public goods. These systems serve a broad range of stakeholders, including regional and national governments, extension services, and input and financial service providers in land use and agriculture.
